April 2010 Practice Class

Dorridge Flower Club recently held a practice class when 27 members took part in a semi-imposed class.

Each member brought a bunch of roses but nothing else and looks of horror appeared when they saw what else was provided for them!

However, many members were surprised by the final results which were impressive.

Dorridge will be holding their annual Summer Lunch at Shrewley Village Hall on 10th August, with a demonstration by a Club member.

DORRIDGE OPEN EVENING JANUARY 2009

Dorridge recently held a very successful Open Evening when Michael Handy wowed everyone with some amazing arrangements.

His flowers were beautiful and those lucky enough to win one in the raffle went home with big smiles!

Barbara Collins also visited the club recently to show members the art of ribbon weaving.

Once the phormiums were suitably adorned, they were incorporated into flower arrangements, assisted by Barbara!

This was a great evening and enjoyed by all.

Coral Anniversary celebrations

BRING ME SUNSHINE - Jane Fox

Area Chairman Jean Myatt joined us at our Coral Anniversary evening to celebrate 35 years of Dorridge Flower Club!

Following the cutting of the cake, Jane Fox entertained us with a stunning array of flower arrangements.

Her flowers were superb and members checked their raffle tickets carefully, hoping they had a winner!

We all enjoyed our cake afterwards, accompanied by Bucks Fizz.

Report on Dorridge's meeting with Tony Brown

Dorridge were pleased to welcome National Demonstrator Tony Brown to a recent meeting and were treated to a spectacular display.

Members were entertained by Tony's skill both with flowers and words and a memorable evening was had by all.

Report on Dorridge's meeting with Jane Fox

Dorridge has welcomed some excellent demonstrators to its evening meetings recently, with Jane Fox's beautiful arrangements forming part of a very entertaining evening .

In February, members attempted to learn the art of leaf manipulation with Lesley Cole which provided much merriment and frustration!.
