Meriden Floral Society

Welcome to the page of Meriden Floral Society

Meetings held on the THIRD MONDAY of each month (expect where otherwise stated) in the Village Hall, Meriden starting at 7.30pm prompt.

The Village Hall is located on the Main Rd in Meriden and free parking is available. Postcode is CV7 7RG.

Doors open 7.00pm and competition entries must be placed by 7.05pm.

We are a very friendly club and new members are always welcome or for a small fee you can come along as a visitor.

At our meetings we have a sales table, raffle, refreshments and very often we also have a plant stall.

The club also hosts very successful practice classes, where members and guests can come along and practice a floral design.

Our next practice class will be Monday 16th January 2012.

Non-members are welcome at £4.00 each.

October Meeting

We welcomed Janet Woodfield at our October meeting, called 'Pot Luck'

Janet produced a variety of wonderful displays, using a different shaped pots and kept us entertained with stories of her holidays she had taken on Caribbean cruises.

Janet finished her demonstration with a fantastic colourful Caribbean themed arrangement and even wore her Bob Marley wig to accompany her display!

Our competition table certainly lived up to the Autumnal theme, with some lovely seasonal displays.

March Meeting

Our new programme for 2011 started off well,with a demonstration called Spring into Summer by Susan Smithson.

Susan was able to give us lots of tips for our garden and was happy to answer any questions about plants.

All the demonstrations were raffled off and Susan was kind enough to throw in some extra plants and flowers to be raffled, making the March raffle a bumper one!
