NORTON CANES FLOWER CLUBAlthough we are only a very small club in the South Midlands Area, we thought you might be interestedin how we are participating in the 50th Anniversary of NAFAS Firstly, our AGM took place in January and at our dinner, we each had an individual gold rose to mark our place. All membersfinished the evening with a gift of a Gold anniversary pen, and so our celebrations began We asked each of our members who were doing welcome arrangements each month to think on a Gold theme and where possible to use gold flowers For Golden Fanfayre week, most members of all abilities took part in leting our village and surrounding area know what we are about by putting flowerarrangements on a golden theme in a variety of communal places from doctor's surgeries and clinics, local churches, libraries and shops. These brought many favourable comments. These practice evenings are run by our moreexperienced arrangers and so it is quite easy to gear it towards our own highlights over the years. All of this information is contained in our Golden Club Diary of events for 2009, the colour chosen for our year of celebration. I hope you find this an interesting slant on what looks to be a super Golden Year Congratulations NAFAS Jose Aulton Secretary
