Nuneaton Flower Guild

Nuneaton Flower Guild was formed in 1963 and is a thriving Club currently having 70+ members.

We are a very friendly Club, meeting on the first and third Wednesday of each month.

The venue for our Practice Class (first Wednesday) is once again The Chestnuts Club, Old Hinckley Road, Nuneaton, at which one or two of our members demonstrate various aspects of flower arranging.

Open Meetings are held on the third Wednesday each month at 7.30pm at St Nicolas Parish Church Hall, Vicarage Street, Nuneaton (unless otherwise stated).

Full Membership of the Club is currently £12.

Visitors are very welcome to come and join us for a small fee of £2.

A sales table, plants stall and refreshments are also a feature of these meetings.

The April and November meetings are an exception to normal Club nights with demonstrations usually undertaken by a National Demonstrator. In 2009 new venues have to be found for these meetings - these will be notified as soon as they are known.

Nuneaton Flower Guild is also actively involved in raising money for local charities. This year's chosen charity is Nuneaton Heritage Centre.

In 2008 the Guild raised £2000 for the Acorns Children's Hospice.

NUNEATON FLOWER GUILD SAPPHIRE ANNIVERSARY DINNER

On Saturday 20th September Nuneaton Flower Guild celebrated it's Sapphire Anniversary with a dinner at the Weston Hall Hotel, Bulkington.

Guests included Jill Pinnock, President, S Midlands Area NAFAS, Jean Myatt, Chairman S Midlands Area NAFAS and the Guild's own President, Rose, Lady Daventry.

After dinner entertainment was provided by Marion Canning who gave a lively account of her experiences as a professional Toastmaster.
