Walsall Flower Arrangement Club
Walsall Flower Arrangement Club this year celebrate their 55th anniversary with a special lunch in June and a celebratory
demonstration by National Demonstrator, Tony Brown, in September.
The club was formed in 1955 by a local florist and the earliest meetings were held in the cellar of her shop in Walsall.
As interest grew, the premises used became progressively larger and eventually the Club had a membership of 150 with a very healthy waiting list.
Over the years this has fallen, but the Club is still very active and very propud od its achievements.
We have participated in N.A.F.A.S. competitions over the years, both in Birmingham, Lichfield and Coventry Cathedralsand also in many local church Flower
Festivals. In the process of such, we have raised considerable sums for various charities with various members entering very successfully in locaL shows over many years.
The demonstration by Tony Brown will be at Aldridge Youth Theatre on Tuesday September 7th at 7.30 p.m. entitled, "The Joy of Flowers" and visitors are very welcome
with an admission price of £6.
Walsall Flower Club meet at Rushall Parish Church Hall, Leigh Road, Walsall WS4 2DT and for demonstrations
at Aldridge Youth Theatre, Noddy Park Road, Aldridge, Walsall WS9 8NQ at 7.30 p.m.
Visitors are most welcome
